Dear Wine Lovers,
we're now approaching to Pantelleria island, with its unbelievable lonely windy lava-stone-soil, belonging to Sicily, in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea. Only 100 km (62 miles) southwest of Trapani (Sicily) and just 70 km (43 miles) east of the Tunisian coast.
A magic and charming place full of history, an island that will ravish you with its exciting scents of bare nature, and its char coaled rocks glistening in the sun. Its tranquility and stillness make it a wonderfully poetic place so... welcome to paradise!
I could write a book full of praises dedicated to this wonderful natural masterpiece but I'm here to tell you about a dessert-wine produced on this magnificent island of Pantelleria. One of the most ancient grape types in the world resides on Pantelleria: "Moscato D'Alessandria" known as "Zibibbo" grape.
Today I'm presenting a "home-made" product that you won't find in any other place in the world:
Martingana 2000 DOC By Salvatore Murana
Mr. Salvatore Murana in a few words: a multiple-award-winning winemaker, fabled for his high-ranking quality that's legendary.
Martignana 2000 DOC is really a sweet-dream in a bottle, I've never tasted a dessert-wine like this before. A golden-orange-yellow colour, explosive flurries of peach, apricot and citrus fruit; a really long-finish with concentrated inklings of honey, prunes, spices and much more, and more and more...
An amazing personality sweet-wine, for a romantic night, for sweet meditation, for a special dessert!
a lovable wine for lovable people.
